THE YEALM WINE CIRCLE
The Yealm Wine circle meets on the third Monday of each month with the general meetings taking place at the Yealmpton Community Centre. Outdoor activities are organised in the summer months typically during June, July and August.  Aims of the Circle: to promote an interest in the social aspects of wine such as:- Tastings, information on wine production, guest speakers, etc.. A few members have an active interest in producing their own wine (so plenty of good advice is available). At each meeting you bring your own bottle and glass to enjoy yourself as you would wish. Interested? Why not come along to one of our meetings -- there is no obligation to join and you will find the atmosphere open and friendly. You can find contact details for the circle on the notice board in the community centre.

YEALMPTON TWINNING
Yealmpton is twinned with Milizac in Brittany, France. This was established in June 1988 and since then there have been regular exchanges between the two villages which have proved very entertaining.
Aims of the Association: to promote and foster friendship and understanding between the people of Yealmpton and District and those of Milizac and District in Brittany and those of other towns/villages with which the Association may later form links. To encourage visits by individuals and groups to and from the linked towns/villages particularly by children and young people, and the development of personal contacts, and by so doing to broaden the mutual understanding of the cultural, recreational, educational and commercial activities of the linked towns/villages.
Interested? Why not come along to one of our meetings - there is no obligation to join and you will find the atmosphere very friendly. You can find contact details for the Association on the notice board in the community centre.

YEALMPTON WOODLAND BURIAL ASSOCIATION

Yealmpton Woodland Burial Association was established in 2002. Our local churchyard was closed, and we opened a new burial ground so that local people have an alternative to cremation. Each burial contributes to the creation of the new woodland. When all the trees have been planted the burial ground will be managed as woodland for ever. All residents of Yealmpton are welcome to attend the AGM in April and be elected to the committee of the Association. Full membership is open to anyone who wishes to purchase the right to be buried or to have a memorial tree. The aims of the association are explained on our website: www.woodlandburial.org.uk  or you can email us at ywba@wrescombe.entadsl.com
